APS Primary Sport is conducted over four Terms. There are 17 Primary Sports played throughout the sporting year.
Term 1 - Cricket, Softball, Swimming & Diving and Tennis
Term 2 - Cross Country, Football, Netball and Volleyball
Term 3 - Basketball, European Handball, Hockey and Soccer
Term 4 - Athletics, Badminton, Table Tennis, Touch and Water Polo
APS Sport participates as a Zone in the Victorian Primary Schools Sports Association (VPSSA) in the major sport competitions of Swimming & Diving, Cross Country and Track & Field.
VPSSA Interstate Teams Selection:
Students from APS Schools can trial for Interstate teams via the VPSSA nomination and selection process conducted in most sports by APS Sport. Nominations are received by schools and then forwaded to the Sport Convenor for APS Zone trials to be conducted.
The APS Zone then selects students to progress to Regional trials and then to State team selection.
